how to know if a book is your next resource for waking up
Featured, Life on Earth,

Reading Gibberish? Bookmark It!

Newly-awakened people are ravenous for information about what’s been hiding in the corners of reality, waiting to be discovered.

In the search for truth, we devour entire blogs, subscribe to New Earth YouTube channels, and buy books with titles that would send a “logical, realistic” person running at full speed.

This is level 3 of the upliftment process, which in my upcoming VR game I call The Questioner.

The Questioner goes within, and attempts to determine the concept of “truth.”  What is reality?  What is fantasy? Why do I see things that others can’t? Why do I feel different?

These ponderances send The Questioner down the rabbit hole; following paths that relatively few humans, until recently, have dared to go, for fear of being cast out of their respective social structures.

But good news: If you haven’t noticed lately, it’s now OK to go down the rabbit hole.  Exploration fosters growth, and that’s why we’re here.

But how do you know that a book you’ve just picked up is the best next resource for your current awakening journey?

Here’s how:

Open the book to any page, (or click on a blog post, if you are online) and read one paragraph.

Now, how do you feel?

Did the author communicate from a positive perspective? Or was there blame, anger or aggression in the words you read?

If the message within the book is negative, then consider another resource instead.

And if the book is positively-oriented, you can determine if it’s a good next resource for you with two simple questions:

Do I want to keep reading this?

If what you are reading spawns even more questions about the subject material, then there’s a message for you in there.  Your Higher Self led you to this material, and it would be a good next resource on your journey.

Do the words look like gibberish?

Everyone can look back to an instance in our “past” where we read something, and thought, “That guy is bonkers. He must be on some good meds.” Perhaps his words sounded foreign, too science-fictiony or fantastical, and we doubted the validity of the claims he made. Or we had to read each sentence multiple times just to fathom what the hell he was talking about.

PERFECT!

If you read that sample paragraph, and it sounded like nonsense, then take note of the book title, or bookmark the site.  This is indication that it will be a resource for you soon, but not yet.

That’s why we might buy a book without knowing why, only to pick it off the shelf years later, at the perfect time in our development.

“Heh,” you’d say, “This has been here all along.”

So no matter how crazy that author sounds to you right now, if you were led to that resource, it will come into play sometime in your “future,” after your consciousness has expanded a bit more.

Nothing that arrives in your focus is by accident.

And if what I wrote seemed like gibberish, I love you!  And I’ll be here when you come back.

learning to become
Awakening Rants, Featured, Life on Earth, Oneness,

Move from a Human Being…to a Human Becoming

Do you want the secret of life?  It’s only one sentence.

Can it be that easy?  Well, easy is an attitude, not a process.  Yes, it can be that easy.

It’s more about your attitude than anything else.

The secret of life:

Move from being a victim to taking personal responsibility for every single thing that has, is, or will be happening to you.

For some people, that statement can be a big jump.  We’ve been programmed to give away our power to others: teachers, parents, the government.  After all, they know best, right?

Nope.  You know what’s best for you.  And you don’t know what’s best for others, so Step One:

Focus on you.

Catch that doubt that just dropped in—about being selfish to think like that—and toss that shit out the window.  That’s programming too, and unless you want to stay a victim, then throw it out. If you want your life to change, then you must put yourself in the forefront of your attention.  You can’t light anyone else’s torch without lighting your own first.

Now that we’ve got that down, let’s move to Step Two:

You are a powerful creator, who has decided to put a small portion of yourself into a low-vibrational state that looks solid, and you made that portion of you forget that you put yourself there.

You then set out to reconnect with the other parts of yourself, both visible and invisible. Part of the process of awakening is about remembering that you put yourself in the physical realm in the first place; and that most of you is somewhere else, waiting for you to acknowledge it. Once you have that connection back, you’ll realize the truth of yourself as the creator, by tapping into Universal wisdom that demonstrates, through “coincidences” and synchronicities, that your thoughts are manifesting into the physical.

The Universal laws apply whether you remember them or not. That’s how victims stay victims; by consistently thinking victim thoughts, labeling themselves and others as victims, thus attracting yet more situations of victimhood.  This will continue until one realizes the correlation of their thoughts to their reality.  If this is you, then you are well on your way to recognizing this truth.  It’s a good time to change, if you are tired of being a victim.

Once you understand that you created your reality, then you must take responsibility for every single thing that has happened to you, and also for your judgment of it.  Any feelings of victimhood were simply a choice, and other choices are always available.

If you’re reading this, you are realizing this truth.  As you cognize this truth, you will readily take back the power you previously relinquished to others and you will use this power to create a life that you do want.

Finally, Step 3 takes over until you’re done around here:

Recognize that the nature of Life is not just BEING, it’s about BECOMING.

This means that you are constantly expanding through the experience of situations and scenarios…situations and scenarios that you have created for that purpose.

“Being” changes to “becoming” when we embrace that truth, and allowing the higher self to take the joystick to steer us in the direction of our desires.  The act of “becoming” is a dynamic state, rather than a static one.

Ready to try it?  You can start with a mantra, stated with intention and resolve to live your life as a creator who, although you can’t see the whole picture yet, knows that other parts of you can.  It’s just a simple request for assistance:

“I’m a human becoming…help me to become!”

You can use anything you like to speak to the higher part of yourself that can see where you’re headed.  Since you’re endowed with free will, other aspects of “you” will only assist when asked to do so.  It’s you requesting help from yourself, so there’s never any power relinquished in such a statement.

Making the shift from “being” to “becoming” aligns you with the secret of life by right use of the main Universal laws that govern creation:

  • Law of Attraction, by drawing to you the people, events and situations that match your current vibration.
  • Law of Intent, by your stating your particular desires for expansion, and focusing on them with feeling.
  • Law of Allowance, by asking for a bit of help from other parts of you that can see more of the picture.

An entire world is out there for the creating. If you can imagine it, it exists.  Self-empowerment is the secret!

*This mantra is a suggested statement from the Handbook of the New Paradigm, written in 1999 by Gary Green.  I’ve included a link below if you want to delve into it more.

how to know that you're over your ex
Awakening Rants, Featured, Life on Earth,

How Awake People Know They’re Over an Ex

So you’re waking up, and you’ll see some relationships fall away. The inward journey then begins, where you might replay situations over in your head in an attempt to find out what went wrong.  Was it you?  Was it them? Will you ever get over it?

Simply being awake doesn’t necessarily mean that the end of relationships is any easier.  In fact, when you allow yourself to actually FEEL, you could experience pain that you would have previously pushed aside or stuffed down in order to move on with your life.

That’s great!  Feel it! It sucks, I know.  I’ve had my heart broken into minuscule pieces and stomped on, as I’m certain you’ve had too.

And I’m sure that you know by now that stuffing those feelings down, whether it be emotionally, physically or spiritually, doesn’t serve you.  Not only do you fail to glean the lesson from the relationship, you’ll also dredge up those unaddressed issues in future relationships unless you clear them out.

There are plenty of ways to do this, including counseling, crying uncontrollably on the floor for a while, or writing in a journal. Feel that stuff, and let it go.

So how do you know when you are fully over someone, and ready to move on to another relationship?

I made a handy chart for you.

how to know that you're over your ex

Note that at the beginning of a breakup, you may experience base feelings such as hate, anger, jealousy and other immediate reactions.  Such feelings are associated with the lower two chakras: the base chakra and the sacral chakra.  These are common initial responses to a breakup.

As you heal—and not generally in a linear fashion, as denoted by the jagged line—your focus will move upward to the higher chakras; feelings related to those energy centers will be more balanced, and head towards greater respect and compassion for your ex. These include acceptance (solar plexus), forgiveness (heart) and wishing your ex well on his or her journey (throat chakra).

Still further along in your healing, you’ll finally move to gratitude and thankfulness for their contribution to your lesson.

This shows that you’ve created a balance among the upper energy centers of the third eye (seeing the reason for the relationship) and the crown chakra (thanking your ex for his or her contribution to your growth.)

How long does this take?  Unfortunately, there is no set formula. Variables such as the length of your relationship, the magnitude of the soul lesson, and whether others (such as children) are affected, will all determine your particular healing path.

What’s important is your recognition of your progress!  Are you able to look back at the person you WERE, and compare it with the person you are NOW?  Such comparisons are the only ones worth making, so please recognize and honor yourself for your growth.

This will prepare you for the next relationship as a better, more loving partner.

Love to you!

nothing is too good to be true
Awakening Rants, Featured, Life on Earth,

Today’s Bullshit Belief: Some Things Are Too Good to Be True

Our 3D Earth is steeped in polarity. Good vs bad, Right vs Wrong, and Better vs Worse; all judgments we make based on a dualistic perspective of our world.

Your true, whole Self knows that polarity is merely a construct applied to the game we are all playing on Earth.  Although all of life is based on balance, your Human Self chose to forget that we can have that balance without the judgment…and without having to actually experience either extreme in our physical world.

So, for now, we’re living in a Dark vs Light world, slowly coming to the realization as a collective that we have the power to choose either side—or NO side—and honor the other side’s beliefs as just as valid as our own.

This means that we’re busting through some old programming that’s been passed down through the generations.

One coming up a lot for the collective now:

“That is too good to be true.”

This is bullshit.

So why would anyone tell you that some things are “too good to be true?”

Because our forefathers lived in perceived powerlessness.  Tossed about by forces they believed were out of their control, they were constant victims of “acts of nature,” of the government, of genetics, of bad luck.  This powerlessness fostered manifestation by default, and the physical world reflected the unconscious intentions of the humans creating it.  We’ve been living in very dark times.

“Too good to be true” implies that to have some things, you must give up other things.  That you can’t have your cake, and eat it too.  That there is nothing on Earth that is perfect.

We were taught to be fearful.  We were taught to believe that someone out there knew better than we did, so we had better listen.  Such beliefs were recounted by countless exhausted, overwhelmed parents to hopeful children, over centuries of darkness-instilled existence.  It was easier to set up a child for failure in advance, than to watch him experience a heartbreaking defeat later in life.

And I’m sure you understand that it’s not a stretch to think that someone would take advantage of the fear of others, and magnify it, and then utilize it for their own selfish purposes.  This is why such fear has perpetuated across eons of human existence, even when meeting basic survival needs is easier for us now than ever before.

So the words of past overwhelmed parents are now reinforced through social media, broadcast news, and reality TV.  And it keeps people fearful, and powerless to believe that they can have what they want.  Because if you have everything you want, then it is hard to control you.

You can have it all. Everything can be good.  You can have all the money you want.  You can have the love of your life.  All of these things can be yours.

Thankfully, your Higher Self has the schematic of the major goals your soul set out to achieve during this lifetime, and it will guide you to the things that serve you on the quest for your divine purpose. If you allow things to unfold with a recognition of your power as a creator (even if you can’t see the big picture right now), your Human Self will align with your Higher Self, providing you with a satisfying life of love and inner peace.  It’s your belief that you can have the things that you want, according to your divine purpose…that will bring those things to you.

You will be so enthralled with what you have—placed in exactly the right place in your life, at exactly the right time—that you will want to openly share it with others.  You won’t even pay attention to the extremes of polarity, because your emotional, spiritual, and physical needs are met.  And you spread that energy to all those that you encounter, and maybe they’ll start believing it too.  That’s how the world changes.

Today, I want you to feel what life would be like if you knew that things can be good.  That everything CAN go right.  That your desires WILL be fulfilled, simply because there is plenty for everybody.  These are remembrances, not lessons.  You already know this; you just forgot.

Aim for the feeling that things are going well for you.  It may be a feeling that brings up some guilt.  SCORE!  One more bullshit belief that, once cleared, releases the resistance for allowing in what you want.

You’ve got this.

pulling out old beliefs
Awakening Rants, Featured, Life on Earth,

Mental Gardening Makes For A Clearer Path

Old beliefs stand in the way of realizing your full potential.  Maybe it’s time to clear your path.

If you’re like me, you want to clear out EVERY negative aspect of yourself, from the ego-driven sarcastic statement deliverer, to the overly critical observer catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror. It seems like it’s a never-ending torturous path of whacking away the non-serving belief systems with our spiritual machetes.  Yet some of those beliefs are rooted so deeply that we never really see the whole thing, and so it never really goes away.

A machete won’t do that.  You gotta dig out the roots.

OH GREAT!  More processing!  More tears! More lessons to learn.

Well, yeah.  That is always going to accompany a physical incarnation.  That’s why we come here.  Yet you could look at those beliefs in a different, more gentle way.  One that gets you to the core so you can pull up that mofo, roots and all, for good.

Let’s take an old, outworn belief, and imagine it’s a prickly bush.  It’s knee-high, and spiky, and you keep running into it because it’s in the path you take every day; and because your attention is elsewhere while you’re walking.

You really know that your path would be easier without smacking into those damn thorns every time you start walking, but you also know that pulling it out would require tools, and thick gloves, since your bare hands would be a bloody mess if you tried to just yank it out of the ground while passing by.

So you continuously sidestep the bush, hoping to avoid scratching yourself, and so far you’ve been managing.  But sometimes, every once in a while, you forget it’s there, and you walk straight into the bush…and the painful scratches are your reminder that you really need to just pull the damn thing out.

You may imagine all the effort it would take, finding gloves, and time, and the proper frame of mind to tackle the situation. And when you encounter such obstacles, the self-bashing begins.

  • “I don’t have the time to pull out this bush.  I’ll do it next week.”
  • “The roots run really deep and I may need a shovel to get way down.  I don’t have a shovel.”
  • “Even with gloves, I might still get some scratches.  I don’t want that pain right now.”
  • “Who the fuck planted this stupid bush in my path anyway?  It’s their damn fault.”

And I don’t even have to tell you this, but bushes grow.  Both upwards, further into your line of sight…and downwards, extending their roots deeper into the ground.

It doesn’t matter who planted the bush.  Could have been you.  Could have been someone authoritative from the past.  You can spend your time cursing the bush, or blaming the bush, or hating the bush.  But the bush is there. And it’s your path, and it’s your responsibility to pull the fucker out.

So how to remove the bush with the least amount of time, effort, and scrapes?

You soak the ground with water.

The moisture loosens the dirt around the bush, creating a softer surrounding environment, thus making it easier to pull the whole thing up, roots and all.

The water in this case, is neutrality.

By softening the foundation supporting the bush—or looking at the situation from a neutral standpoint, rather than one of self-judgment or blame—you facilitate the removal of the whole thing, with less effort. And then you can move on with your life with a clear trail ahead of you.

Could you get scratched?  Well, sure, you could get a few scrapes, but you’ve got your gloves, and other tools that you’ve gathered over the years to address “bush” issues! A few scratches on the arms far outweigh the burden of sidestepping a growing, perpetually painful belief system that constantly inhibits your journey.

The use of neutrality is a skill that will benefit you in all areas of your life.  Not just pulling out bushes, but dealing with your beliefs about people with opposing views, your beliefs about your self-worth, or your feelings about your place in society.

Allowing things to be as they are, without constantly creating a story around them, is like softening the foundation.  It gives you the ability to observe these concerns without the judgment, to review your belief, and then update it to reflect the new You.  In all honesty, the bush wouldn’t be prickly if it weren’t meant to be addressed in some way.

And each time you pull out a bush, you will encounter fewer and fewer of them along your path.  You’ll then walk with your eyes up, rather than continuously looking down for thorns.

when life comes at you fast
Awakening Rants, Life on Earth,

Challenges Coming At You At Breakneck Speed

Life is funny in that it presents you things quietly, subtly, at first.

It hopes that you recognize the message, and take action on it. That action could be addressing a fear, paying a bill, or learning to trust.

If you don’t get the first message, it will send you a stronger one. And if you don’t get that one? More will come in succession, in larger and larger proportions, until the shit hits you in the face and you have no other option than to deal with it.

The act of meditation provides an option to listen to the subtle messages, but in our world rife with diversions, many claim that they don’t have time to meditate. Similar results can be obtained with other practices, such as physical exercise, creating art, cleaning or cooking, to name a few. It’s when the mind is at rest that we are most receptive to these gentle messages. But sometimes people don’t have time for any of it…and those are the people who are presented with DRAMA, because that’s what it takes to get them to pay attention.

Do you like drama? Great! Then expect that your problems, and their solutions, will necessarily be bigger than life, because that’s what you’ve asked for.  There’s no judgment in that statement; it may just be that you love action and movement and wild, extreme emotions.

In my experience, the youthful years are full of drama, until we gain the wisdom to remember that it can wear us out quickly.  Then, as we experience more in our bodies on Earth, we choose simpler, calmer options for learning.

So if you are encountering a number of hits to your sanity, look at where you may be diverting your attention.  Recognize any patterns from the past that were repeated indicators that your soul is trying to get your attention.

When you find it, address it head on with whatever method feels right to you. Drama or simplicity, your choice.

VIDEO: Awake People Have Crappy Days Too

Society’s way of keeping you in check is telling you that crying is a sign of weakness. No doubt you’ve been told that big boys don’t cry, or to stop crying before you’re given something to really cry about…

All of this programming is running the human show, until you realize that crying is a release of resistance, and is a necessary process while you’re expanding your consciousness.

Today, Kimberly made a video while crying, so you can see that no matter where anyone is on their spiritual path, it’s ok to be sad, disappointed, feel unloved, or be overwhelmed. Crying is a perfectly acceptable release for that negative energy. It’s when those feelings are denied that they develop into deeper issues.

So cry if you need to. It’s the greatest show of strength you could demonstrate, that you don’t want to keep that negative energy inside.

And don’t forget: always be you, all the time. Love!

The Paradox: You are the creator of your entire existence.

So why, then, doesn’t everyone else do exactly what you want them to do? Other people in our lives are simply reflections of ourselves, in different bodies seeing the world through different eyes.

Yet you would never learn anything if you already knew what would happen in every situation. So you gave others the permission to surprise you. For further information on why people meet, watch this one.
